05.21.12 Hagerstown CC Soccer Announces Newest Hawks
Hagerstown, Md. - The Hagerstown Community College Men’s Soccer team hosted their annual Recruit Signing Night on Monday in the ARCC, on the campus of HCC.
The newly committed athletes signed "Letter's of Commitment" for the 2012-2013 season. The school athletic director, Mr. Robert "Bo" Myers, was unable to attend the event; however, expressed his excitement and commitment for the new Hawks. The Herald Mail was there to capture the signing and interviewed the local athletes for the newspaper.
The following players were welcomed to the program:
Aaron Rodgers- South Hagerstown High School Clayton Stottlemyer- Smithsburg High School Bradley Coblentz- Middletown High School Bobby Matusek- Tuscarora High School Jazer Mauricio- North Hagerstown High School Osman Ramizov- North Hagerstown High School KofiOwusu- Smithsburg High School Brian Hernandez- Thomas Johnson High School Jesus Santiago- Thomas Johnson High School FourkokoChaw- Thomas Johnson High School Daniel Alvarado- Thomas Johnson High School
Stottlemyer, the captain for the Leopards in 2009 and 2010 held down positions in both the midfield and in defense. Clayton was named First Team All-MVAL Antietam, First Team All-County, First Team All-County Coaches, and was a participant in the Four Diamonds Classic All-Star Game. He netted two goals in his last season with the Leopards.
Stottlemyer has been a member of the Hagerstown Revolution Club Team.
The Hawks kick off their season on August 29 when they host MDJUCO opponent Montgomery-Rockville. Archived Stories
