Hagerstown opens the season at the newly rennovated Hawk field, against Patrick Henry College, before heading to Pennsylvania on September 2 for a match against Lackawana College. Hagerstown continues their travels when they take on MDJUCO opponent College of Southern Maryland on September 5. Hagerstown then returns home for four straight games from September 8 - September 15. During the homestand, HCC will face MDJUCO opponents, Allegany, Catonsville, and Montgomery-Rockville, while also hosting non-conference Manor College.

The Hawks then go on the road for matches against Prince Georges (9/19) and Essex (9/21). HCC is winless against the Essex Knights in the last 11 matches, going 0-10-1. "Essex has always been the powerhouse of Region XX Division I and while we compete very well against them, we have yet to come away with a win," stated Rethemeyer. "We certainly respect what they have been able to accomplish during the last 11 seasons and we look forward to squaring off against them this year."

Hagerstown then plays host to Westmoreland College on September 23 before traveling to Cecil College on September 26. Last season marked the first time in over ten years that the Cecil Seahawks edged Hagerstown, 4-3.

HCC then stays home for five straight games, facing two MDJUCO teams and three non-conference opponents. On September 28, the Hawks look to stay undefeated against Penn State Mont Alto, before returning to action the very next day against Anne Arundel. On October 2, Hagerstown faces Potomac State for the first time in over three seasons, and then takes on Northern Virginia (10/4) and Chesapeake (10/6).

Following the Chesapeake match, the Hawks conclude their season on a four game road trip before entering postseason play.

“The latter part of our schedule is extremely tough” quoted Rethemeyer. "It is crucial we are peaking after we conclude our home games because our last road games are going to be some of our most difficult."

On October 8, Hagerstown travels to Region XIX powerhouse Mercer County in New Jersey. HCC then plays away at Howard on October 10, before facing cross town rival Frederick on October 13. The Hawks wrap up the regular season on October 17 with a night game against Harford. Last season in the annual "Battle of the Birds", Hagerstown came away with a commanding 3-1 victory. The win marked the first time Hagerstown defeated the Owls in over nine matches.

The Region XX Playoffs begin on October 21 with quarterfinal round action at the higher seed, while the semi-finals and finals will take place at CCBC-Dundalk on October 25 and October 28.

“We are looking to field our most talented team in program history, so it is fitting to pack a schedule full of tough competition,” mentioned Rethemeyer. "We are eager to play at our new home field and represent the college with great pride. It is a long, grueling season and the guys need to come into preseason in shape and ready to go.”
