Frederick All-Area, Fredy Barerra commits to Hagerstown C.C.

Hagerstown, Md.-  Frederick High School senior, Fredy Barerra, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men’s soccer team.

Barerra, who last competed for the Cadets during the 2014 season, finished with a team high 11 goals and three assists for 25 points. He was not eligible for his senior season due to high school age restrictions. During the 2014 season, Barerra earned First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Area and was named Frederick High School Offensive Player of the Year.

He helped Frederick High to an undefeated regular season (10-0-4) and a #1 seed in the 3A West Region Rankings. During his time at with the Cadets he also helped the team win the league title for the first time since 1986. Barerra started all 14 matches at striker during the 2014 season.

At Hagestown, Barerra will suit up with former high school teammate, Javier Posadas for the 2016 season. Montgomery County commited players, Azaria Honsou and Angel Osegueda, along with Baltimore native Benny Brankoff rounds out the current commited recruiting class.
