Frederick High School Senior to Play at Hagerstown C.C.

Hagerstown, Md.Frederick High School senior, Za Ceu, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men's soccer team.

Ceu, a Second-Team All Conference and Honorable Mention All-Gazette performer was a crucial outside midfielder for the Cadets. His senior year he helped Frederick to a 10-5-1 overall record, but a 1-0 loss in overtime of the 3A West Quarterfinals would end their season.

Ceu finished 2013 with four goals and one assist. He netted his first career hat trick in an 8-1 win over Thomas Johnson.

In 2012, the Cadets finished 10-3-3 and advanced to the 3A West Quarterfinals where they were defeated by Einstein. Ceu would finish with three goals and three assists.

Ceu also played club soccer with Alliance F.C. While at Hagerstown, Ceu will play alongside former teammate and current Hawk, Jusseth Velazquez. While at Frederick, the two teamed up for 40 points in the 2012 season.

Ceu joins recently committed Frederick County recruit, Axel Lara, as well as Montgomery County recruits Christian Mejia and Nery Feuntes. Washington County players Bradley Mills, Jacob Ernst, Zach Robertson, Hart Weaver and Collin McVicker have all announced their commitment as well, along with Shad Gordon, from Southern Fulton.

"Za is a dynamic player that will make an immediate impact on the field," mentioned head coach Brian Eichelberger. "His speed and technical ability make him a threat at multiple positions. We look forward to fitting him into the lineup where he can best be used."
