Men's So
ccer Announces Garrett
Cook as Newest Hawk

Hagerstown, Md. - Tuscarora High School senior, Garrett Cook, recently committed to attend Hagerstown Community College and play for the men's soccer team this fall.

Cook was a three-year member for the Titans boy's soccer team. He held down defensive roles for Tuscarora, playing sweeper and stopper. He helped the Titans to a 9-2-5 overall record last year, scoring one goal and adding two assists.

Cook has played club soccer for six years, with both FC Frederick Premier and the Baltimore Bays Barcelona. This past year, his club team earned 2nd place at the Maryland Futsal State Cup and 3rd place at the Northeast Regional Futsal Tournament. In 2011, his team won the Maryland Futsal State Cup and finished 3rd at the Northeast Regional Futsal Tournament.

"Garrett will add great depth to our defensive unit," stated head coach Brian Eichelberger. "Since we graduated some defensive starters from last year, Garrett will be able to come in and compete right away, due to his versatility in the back. Being 6'3, he brings great size and an ability to challenge for head balls both defensively and on offensive set pieces."
