All-County Defender, Jacob Ernst, will play for Hagerstown C.C.

Hagerstown, Md.- Clear Spring defender, Jacob Ernst, recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College Men's Soccer team for the Fall 2014 season.

Ernst, the sweeper for the Clear Spring Blazers, helped the team to an 8-6-1 record in 2013. Seven of the eight wins came from shutouts and Ernst was named to the Four Diamonds All-Star team. He also took home First Team All-County, First Team All-County Coaches, and First Team All-MVAL honors. They had their season come to an end in the first round of the Class 1A Playoffs to eventual champion, North Carroll.

In 2012, the Blazers finished 13-3-1 and took home the Washington County Tournament Title for the first time in school history. Clear Spring shutout their opponents seven times in route to double-digit wins. Ernst earned Second Team All-County, Second Team All-County Coaches, and Second Team All-MVAL honors.

Ernst is also a member of the Clear Spring Blast Club soccer team.

"Jacob is one of the toughest defenders in the county and we are pleased that he will be attending HCC next season", mentioned head coach Brian Eichelberger. "Shoring up our back line was one of our biggest goals this off season. After graduating three starting defenders, we need to bring players in that compete for starting positions right away. Jacob's physical nature will be much needed in a very difficult MDJUCO league."
