Hagerstown Falls in Overtime to Anne Arundel 

Hagerstown, Md. - Hagerstown Community College held the lead twice during the game, but failed to finish the game out, as they saw it slip away in overtime, 3-2 to Anne Arundel Community College.

Eight minutes into the game, it would look as though Hagerstown would tally a goal when a low driven cross from freshman FourkokoChaw (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) found sophomore Mamadou Jallow (Gambia, Africa/Thomas Johnson) in front of the net. His chance would beat the keeper, but miss narrowly wide. Just three minutes later, Brandon Redman (Boonsboro, Md./Boonsboro) took a chance from inside the goal box, but his shot would go wide as well. The Hawks would finally capitalize on their opportunities, when freshman Kwasi Ofosu Ameyaw (Hagerstown, Md./South) would tally his first collegiate goal int the 24th minute. Ameyaw would receive the ball from Chaw and then beat a defender before placing it past the keeper.

AACC would rally just three minutes later when an errant cross would deflect off an HCC defender and into the net for an own goal.Hagerstown would regain the lead in the 36th minute when Jallow hit in a corner kick from Redman. 

The Hawks would hold the lead until the 78th minute when a Pioneer would be brought down in the goal box, drawing a penalty kick. AnneArundel would put away the spot kick to even the game 2-2.

The game would head into overtime and it would be the Pioneers who would finish the game winner in the 98th minute. A cross from 20 yards out would find the head of an AACC player and deflect off an HCC player before finding the net for the golden goal. 

Sophomore keeper Chucky Kipe (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) would finish the game with 17 saves. The Hawks look to get back on track when they travel to non conference opponent Delaware Tech on September 16th at 1:00pm.
