scores twice to lead HCC past Chesapeake

Hagerstown, MD- Freshman Zack Morgan (Greencastle, Pa./Grace Academy) scored two first half goals to help lead the Hagerstown Community College Men's Soccer team to a 4-0 victory over conference opponent Chesapeake Community College.

Freshman Garrett Hajjar (Frederick, Md./Urbana) opened the scoring in the fourth minute of the contest, when he volleyed in a shot from sophomore Spencer Leggett (Boonsboro, Md./Broadfording). The goal extended Hajjar's scoring streak to three-straight games. Morgan would then net his two goals in the 11th and 20th minutes respectively. Sophomores Michael Reyes (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) and Edwin Reyes (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) would tally the assists on Morgan's goals, the first coming off a redirection and the other on a header from six yards out. Michael Reyes would then convert on a penalty kick goal in the 40th minute to cap off the scoring.

Sophomore keepers Brian Kukucka (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) and Derek Apple (Martinsburg, WVa./Faith Christian Academy) would split time in net for the Hawks. Kukucka would earn the shutout victory and make three saves, while Apple would record just one save.

With the win, the Hawks extend their winning streak to three-straight games and their scoreless streak to 270 minutes. HCC returns to action on Suday, when they square off against the Division I West Virginia University Club Team.
