#8 Howard C.C. Takes Down Hagerstown C.C.
Columbia, MD- The #8 Howard Community College men's soccer team used five first half goals to help take down MDJUCO conference opponent Hagerstown C.C., 6-0.
The Dragons came into the match riding a six game winning streak and boasting an undefeated record in the MDJUCO. Howard C.C. would put the game out of reach early by netting goals in the 11th, 14th, and 16th minutes, followed by two more in the 33rd and 43rd minutes. The Hawks would substitute sophomore keeper Brian Kukucka (Urbana, Md./Urbana) at halftime, who registered four saves in the first half. Classmate Derek Apple (Martinsburg, Wva./Faith Christian Academy) would play the second half conceeding one goal in the 52nd minute, while also making four saves.
HCC will try to get back on the winning track Monday, when the face Northern Virginia Community College at home at 4:00pm. The Hawks defeated NOVA earlier in the season, 2-0.
