Late Goal Lifts Hood to Preseason Win
Frederick, Md. - Division III, Hood College, used a late goal to propel themselves to a preseason scrimmage win over Hagerstown Community College.
HCC outshot the Blazers, but were unable to convert on their chances late in the game. The Hawks would miss numerous breakaway opportunities, as the Hood keeper would thwart every chance they had. As the game appeared to end in a deadlock 0-0 tie, it would be the Blazers who would strike from 30 yards out, with one minute remaining, to steal the victory.
