Thomas Johnson Senior Commits to Hagerstown Community College
Hagerstown, Md. - Thomas Johnson High School senior, Mamadou Jallow, recently committed to Hagerstown Community College for the fall season.
Jallow, a Frederick County standout player was named All-Area, All-MVAL Piedmont, and All-Gazette, his senior season. He also was named as his team's offensive player of the year, for the 2010 season.
In 2007 and 2008 he was a member of the Martinsburg High School soccer team, before moving to Frederick and transferring to Thomas Johnson for the 2009 and 2010 season. In 2009, his team finished 6-5-3, and in 2010 he captained the Patriots to a 6-9-0 overall record, but advanced his team to the 4A Region Semi-finals, before losing to Perry Hall, 1-0 in penalty kicks.
Jallow finished his four-year high school career with 15 goals and nine assists, for 39 points.
"Mamadou is a truly gifted athlete and we are extremely happy to add a player of his caliber to our program," stated head coach Brian Eichelberger. "Mamadou will instantly fit into our midfield and pose a threat to defenses, due to his natural abilities. We look for him to be very productive in our lineup."
