Hawks Land Montgomery County Recruit, Jason Medrano, for 2018

- Magruder High School senior, Jason Medrano, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men’s soccer team.

Medrano, a versatile midfielder for the Colonels, helped his team to a 11-3-1 overall record in 2017. The Colonels reached the sectional finals in the 3A Maryland State playoffs. During his senior season, Jason scored three goals and added three assists. He was a two-year varsity member at Magruder.

Medrano played for MD Alliance, and Potomac Blue 99. With Alliance, he achieved a record of 13-3-2 and was eliminated in the third round of the Maryland State Cup.

“I decided to attend HCC because I felt like the environment was a perfect fit for me as a student-athlete,” stated Medrano, “The coaches and players made me feel like I was at home, and I knew as soon as I met them I was in the right place.”

Medrano kicks off the 2018 recruiting class for HCC.

“Jason is a player with a broad set of skills, his versatility will be important to the Hawks next season,” mentioned assistant coach CJ Trammell.
