Washington County All-Star, Caden Keplinger, Chooses Hagerstown C.C.
Hagerstown, Md. - Williamsport High School senior, Caden Keplinger, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men’s soccer team.
Keplinger, a three-year varsity starter at center back and right back, helped the Wildcats to an 11-6-0 overall record his senior year. Williamsport would be crowned County Champions for the 2015 and 2013 seasons, when they went 12-4-1.
Keplinger, the junior and senior year captain took home back-to-back First Team All-County, First Team All-County Coaches, and First Team All-MVAL honors. He would finish his career with one goal and one assist from his defensive positions. Following his senior season, Keplinger would be named to the Four Diamonds All-Star team.
Along with soccer, Keplinger participates on the Wildcats varsity baseball team. He earned First Team All-County and Second Team All-MVAL while captaining Williamsport his junior year. He currently is captain while the Wildcats finish up the 2016 season.
Keplinger joins Washington County committed recruit, Andrew Owens for the 2016 season. Asongwe McCho-Nji Jr. , Benny Brankoff and Jaime Quansah come from the Baltimore area, while the trio, joins West Virgina recruits Josh Fitzwater and Ricardo Merino. The Hawks have also received commitments from Montgomery County players, Azaria Honsou and Angel Osegueda, along with Frederick resident Fredy Barerra.
"Caden has been a proven competitor in Washington County for several years," quoted head coach Brandon Rethemeyer. "It's great that he has chosen to stay close to home to continue his athletic and academic development."
