Quince Orchard Senior Goalkeeper Commits to HCC

Hagerstown, Md.-  Quince Orchard High School senior, Cristian Mejia, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men's soccer team.

Mejia, a goalkeeper for the 4A Cougars finished the season 9-3-2 with six shutouts and 80 saves. He was named Honorable Mention All-Gazette, while also earning the Coaches Award. The Cougars won the division for the first time in 12 years. 

He played club for NCSL Division I Potomac Cougars and also AC Bethesda. Mejia was also part of Maryland ODP.

Prior to attending Quince Orchard, Mejia played in Mexico for Pachuca F.C. before being traded to Indios de cd. Juarez. He had loan campaigns with Monterrey and Monarcas de Morelia before earning a try out with the U-15 National Team. 

After returning to the United States, Mejia played club for Real Maryland.

"Cristian brings a wealth of playing experience at a variety of levels," mentioned head coach Brian Eichelberger. "He is supremely committed to his studies and the sport and he will thrive within our program. We are thrilled to have him step right in and compete."
