Morgan Chooses Waynesburg to Continue Career
Hagerstown, Md. - Sophomore captain, Zack Morgan, recently committed to Division III, Waynesburg University to continue his education and playing career.
A 2012 graduate from HCC, Morgan experienced a stellar playing career. During his two years, he started in 35 of 36 games and amassed a total of 54 points. He tallied 23 goals and added eight assists.
In 2011, Morgan received numerous individual honors, including Region XX Division I All-Star, First Team All-Region XX, First Team All-MDJUCO, Team MVP, and was nominated for NJCAA All-American. He finished ranked fourth in MDJUCO in points. Morgan also received the Hagerstown Community College Scholar Student Athlete Award.
Waynesburg University is located in Waynesburg, Pa. and competes in the President's Athletic Conference. Last season they finished 8-9-0 and experienced a four-game winning streak throughout the season. While at WU, he will play alongside former teammate CJ Trammell ('11).
"Zack was a model student-athlete while at Hagerstown Community College", noted head coach Brian Eichelberger. "He earned every one of his individual awards due to his hard work and dedication to whatever he does. When we were searching for a goal-scorer, Zack was up to the challenge and was top three on the team in points during his two years. Our coaching staff is extremely proud of Zack's efforts and we are very confident he will experience continued success with Waynesburg."
