Hawks Land All-Gazette Striker, Alejandro Oliart

Hagerstown, Md.- Northwest High School graduate, Alejandro Oliart, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men's soccer team.

Oliart, a three-year varsity starter for Northwest High School (Germantown, Md.) ,finished his high school career leading the team in goals and assists each season. During his freshman year, he netted 11 goals and added nine assists while in his sophomore year he had five goals and seven assists. In his sophomore campaign, he helped the Jaguars finish 12-3-0 and winning the division before falling in the Region Final to Walter Johnson.Oliart was unable to compete his junior year, but came back his senior year and scored seven goals and dished out four assists. He finished his Jaguar career with 23 goals and 20 assists for 66 points while ranking his team in the top four of Montgomery County each year.

Oliart has been a member of Real Maryland FC, leading the team in goals with nine and adding five assists. The Monarchs would finish 8-3-0 and compete in Nationals. Following Real Maryland, Oliart joined Calverton FC which ranked in the top five for soccer clubs in Maryland.

"We are thrilled to add Alejandro, as he will immediately contribute to our attack" mentioned head coach Brian Eichelberger. "Being a true striker, Alejandro possess the skills necessary to compete at the collegiate level. We expect him to thrive in our offense and see success in the MDJUCO conference."
