Hagerstown Players Receive NJCAA and MDJUCO Awards

The Hagerstown Community College men's soccer team had three players selected to the NJCAA Region XX Team and two for the All-MDJUCO Team.  

Sophomore forwards Zack Morgan (Greencastle, Pa./Grace Academy) and Garrett Hajjar (Frederick, Md./Urbana) were named to the NJCAA Region XX First Team. Morgan was also awarded First Team All-MDJUCO, while Hajjar was presented with Second Team All-MDJUCO honors.

Morgan led the Hawks with 33 points, on 14 goals and five assists. He also started and played in every game, while co-captaining HCC this season. Hajjar was second on the team in points with 11, behind three goals and five assists. Hajjar also started and played in every game this season while being co-captain.

Freshman midfielder Mamadou Jallow (Frederick, Md./Thomas Johnson) captured second team honors for NJCAA Region XX. Jallow started and played in every game while controlling the central midfield. He led the Hawks with six assists, while also netting two goals for 10 points.

HCC finished the season 6-9-2 overall and lost in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region XX Tournament to CCBC-Catonsville.
