Landsdowne Captain, Jaime Quansah, Announces Commitment
Hagerstown, Md.- Landsdowne High School senior, Jaime Quansah, has recently announced his commitment to the Hagerstown Community College men’s soccer team.
Quansah, a defensive midfielder and captain for the Vikings, helped his team this past season to an overall record of 12-1-1. They would be named conference champions and finish second in the sectionals. In 2014 the Vikings finished 10-4-0, while also winning the sectionals and conference.
A three-year varsity member for Landsdowne, Quansah finished his career with three goals and 24 assists for 30 points.
Quansah, who earned First Team All-County and First Team All-Conference his senior year, also participated in the Baltimore County All-Star game.
Quansah plays club soccer for Juventus F.C., where he scored three goals and added six assists this past season. He has also played for Baltimore Bays United and Thunder Soccer Club Real.
At Hagerstown, Quansah will suit up with former high school teammate and 2016 committed recruit, Benny Brankoff.
The Hawks have also received commitments from Montgomery County players, Azaria Honsou and Angel Osegueda, along with Frederick residents Javier Posadas and Fredy Barerra. Andrew Owens, from Washington County rounds out the 2016 class.
"We are thrilled to have Jaime announce his commitment," quoted head coach Brandon Rethemeyer. "Recruiting holding midfielders was a goal of ours this offseaon. The position is so vital when running our formation and Jaime has tremendously experience in this role. He has an excellent team-player attitude and I know he will garner a lot of attention in the MDJUCO."
